I’m a native Texan who moved to Colorado in 2007. Still, people ask me all the time, “Are you from the South?” because I apparently still have a Texas accent despite my best efforts to tone it down.

I love God, people, and life! I am completely enchanted by words, colors, designs,  and nature. I believe in working hard, producing excellent work, attending to details, and always learning and improving. All that means is whether I’m providing care to hospice or dementia patients in their homes or transcribing, editing, or writing, I’m 100% present in that moment. No distractions from excellence.

My husband and I have been married for many years. I have two wonderful grown sons, a delightful daughter-in-law, and a grandson with whom I am completely besotted.

In my own hours, I love to read, write poetry, stories and essays, and crochet or knit hats, scarves, shawls, and socks for family, friends, and charities.

If I can help you in any way, please feel free to contact me at dorylane@outlook.com!

Always my best,

COVID19 anyone?

These are strange days we are living in, aren’t they? How are you doing so far? I pray with all my heart you or your family hasn’t been ill with this dastardly bug. I know, unfortunately, that’s not likely. I think most of us have known someone who has been ill or has not survived …

Love, love, love…

As we near Valentines Day this week, I realized how much my perspective on love has changed and grown since I was 20 and got married for the first time. Back then, these verses seemed to reveal the fluttery, passionate, fairy tale love.
